#3 Luis Suarez
One of the best strikers of the modern generation, Liverpool's Luis Suarez enjoyed what many regard as one of the best individual seasons in the history of the Premier League in 2013-14.
Suarez made his name as a prolific goalscorer for Groningen and Ajax before he joined Liverpool in January 2011. The Uruguay international endured a subdued 2011-12 campaign in the Premier League, but blossomed into one of the best strikers in the league in the subsequent seasons.
The 2013-14 season was Suarez's best with Liverpool. In 33 league games, he scored 31 goals, and won the Premier League Player of the Season as well as the Premier League Golden Boot. Liverpool almost won the league title that year, before Suarez left the club that summer to join Barcelona for £73.5 million.
#2 Virgil van Dijk
One of the best centre-backs in the world, Virgil van Dijk has proved to be an inspired signing by Liverpool.
Van Dijk became the most expensive centre-back in the world after Liverpool signed him for £76.1 million in January 2018. The Netherlands international comfortably slotted into Liverpool's backline, and has consistently put in world-class performances for the club.
Van Dijk's impact on Liverpool's defence has been well noted. The 30-year-old is physically gifted and extremely comfortable on the ball, and rarely looks troubled against attackers. He has won the Champions League and the Premier League with Liverpool, and one is left to wonder whether Liverpool could have won those trophies without their talismanic centre-back.
#1 Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world, and has been Liverpool's best attacker since joining the club.
Eyebrows were raised when Liverpool bought Salah from Roma for nearly £38 million in 2017. The Egypt international had not done well at Chelsea, so it was slightly surprising to see Liverpool shell out such money for the winger.
Salah has been world-class at Liverpool. The 29-year-old is a prolific goalscorer who plays on the wings, troubling defenders with his technical ability and pace. The trio of Salah, Mane and Roberto Firmino has been crucial to Liverpool's recent success. Salah has won the Premier League Golden Boot twice.
