#3 Joshua Kimmich | Bayern Munich
Joshua Kimmich missed a few games in the Bundesliga this season but still played a key role in Bayern Munich's title run. He inspired them to a win against Bayer Leverkusen, which propelled them to the top of the table at Christmas. The Bavarian giants did not relinquish their top spot after that.
Kimmich produced an inspired performance in the Super Cup final against Borussia Dortmund, scoring the winning goal in a five-goal thriller after coming off the bench.
His tally of four goals and ten assists from midfield were enough to include Kimmich in the Bundesliga team of the season.
#2 Erling Haaland | Borussia Dortmund
The 2020 Golden Boy award winner, Erling Haaland, continued to impress with Borussia Dortmund this year. scoring 41 goals in all competitions. He averaged a goal every 88 minutes in this season's Bundesliga, netting 27 times in 28 games.
His exploits in front of goal were crucial to Dortmund's Champions League qualification next season. Despite the club getting knocked out of the competition in the quarter-finals this term, he is likely to end the season as the top scorer in the competition, scoring ten goals in just eight appearances.
The young Norwegian star has lived up to the hype surrounding him. He scored at least twice in ten Bundesliga games this season. His four-goal haul in the second half against Hertha Berlin in November provided another indication of his incredible goal-scoring pedigree.
#1 Robert Lewandowski | Bayern Munich
Robert Lewandowski made a case for this year's Ballon d'Or award, producing one of the best individual seasons ever witnessed in a Bundesliga campaign. He scored a record-breaking 41 goals in 29 league games to break Gerd Muller (40)'s near five-decade-old record of most strikes in a Bundesliga season (1971-72).
Lewandowski has been the most in-form striker in Europe for the last couple of seasons. He came close to surpassing Muller last year before eventually going past him this campaign.
The numbers speak for themselves, and the top player in the Bundesliga this term had to be none other than Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich's lethal goal machine.
