#2 Kostas Stafylidis
Stoke City completed the signing of Greek left-back, Kostas Stafylidis on loan for the remainder of the season from German outfit FC Augsburg.
The highly-rated 24-year-old joined the Potters and became the club’s second signing of the January transfer window after Moritz Bauer checked in from Rubin Kazan in a permanent deal.
Stafylidis is no stranger to the English style of football, having spent the 2014/15 season on loan with Fulham, making 38 league appearances. With the club languishing close to the relegation zone, new manager Paul Lambert will be pleased with the club's defensive acquisitions thus far in the market.
Stafylidis is on the radar of many clubs and an impressive loan spell with the Potters could ensure his long-term future with the club or elsewhere in the Premier League. Capped 21 times for Greece, he is set to cement his position for the national team as well and will look to do the same at Stoke and topple Erik Pieters from his starting position.
