Manchester United v Liverpool FC - Premier League
Since moving to the Premier League, Alexis Sanchez has averaged around 42 passes per game. During the 2016/17 season, he averaged 43 passes per game with Arsenal and was a livewire in the final third.

This season though, Sanchez is averaging just 20 passes per game in the Premier League and 27 passes per game in the Champions League. Even though Solskjaer's tactics should enable him to play his natural game, Sanchez has failed to flourish under his Norwegian manager. One of the reasons for his debacle is his tendency to try too hard.
Once he gets the ball, the Chilean has often tried to take the opposition defense on his own, instead of looking for the obvious pass. He is averaging less than 1 successful dribble per game, which is his lowest return in the Premier League in a season. A lack of form could be a defining reason for this.
As such, Sanchez should return to his normal playing style and attempt more passes per game. It could go a long way to turning his season around.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
