#2 Romelu Lukaku
The big Belgian is one of the hottest young strikers in world football and is in line to win the Premier League Golden Boot this season as he holds a comfortable four-goal cushion over Harry Kane in second spot a the conclusion of gameweek 32.
Lukaku has been an absolute goal machine throughout his career and with Everton, he has finally unlocked his full potential. He has 23 goals and six assists in the league this season and has been in fine form in recent months, especially at Goodison Park. He is on an eight-match scoring streak at home currently with 13 goals in those games. The previous Everton player to perform a similar feat was Fred Pickering in 1964-65, which shows the magnitude of Lukaku’s achievement.

In current form, Lukaku is a very strong contender for the Young Player of the Year award and will earn a nomination for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award as well. However, Everton’s absence from the top six could make it difficult for the Belgian to win the award and further, this is his last chance to win it given he will turn 24 in May this year.
