Surprisingly, Xherdan Shaqiri is the distant winner in terms of the number of trophies won at Liverpool. Despite possessing a glittering CV, Shaqiri has never been the main cog in the winning machines. Sure, he has played his part, but a combination of injuries and quality competition has meant that the Swiss international has always been seen more of as an impact player off the bench.

Starting his career with Swiss giants Basel, Shaqiri won the Swiss League title three years on the trot. Quality performances in the Champions League made Bayern Munich sit up and take notice as they signed the pocket-sized midfielder in 2012.

Success flowed in during his stint in Germany as he won the league title in each of his three seasons, including a historic treble of the Champions League, Bundesliga and the German Cup in the 2012-13 season.

After a promising yet trophy-less spell with Stoke City, Liverpool activated his £13.5 million release clause to sign him up on a five-year deal in 2018. In his first season at the club, Shaqiri helped the Reds clinch the Champions League trophy, the second of his career.

Injuries have stunted his appearances to just 10 this season in all competitions, and with the Reds singing Takumi Minamino during the winter, Shaqiri might just be on his way out of the club in the summer.
