Manchester United’s 25th consecutive season in the English top division football had a glorious ending to it. The Red Devils won the Premier League title with a record 18-point margin and became the first team to clinch the Premier League title with four games to spare.
Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke were the star performers for the Manchester United side with 19 and 20 goals respectively. United racked up 91 points during the season and finished with 97 goals, 24 more than the second-placed Arsenal.
They clinched the title on 22nd April 2000 when they defeated Southampton 3-1 away from home on matchday 34.
