#3 Sergio Aguero (231 goals)
The Premier League has seen one of its best-ever strikers in the form of Sergio Aguero. The former Atletico Madrid striker was signed by Manchester City in the summer of 2011. Post the Abu Dhabi-based group takeover, the Cityzens were going all guns blazing in their bid to win the league title.
Signing Aguero proved to be a gem of a move as the Argentine striker helped City pip arch-rivals Manchester United to the Premier League title. And not to forget the title was won in extraordinary fashion as the former Atletico striker scored in the dying minutes of the last game of the season.
Kun Aguero spent 10 seasons with Manchester City, winning the Premier League five times in the process. He's also City's all-time top goalscorer. He also holds the record for the highest number of hat-tricks in the league, scoring 12. In his time in England, the Argentine forward scored 184 goals and assisted in 47 others, contributing in 231 goals.
#2 Thierry Henry (249 goals)
Thierry Henry is arguably one of the best strikers the game has ever seen. Starting his footballing career with AS Monaco, the Frenchman was signed by Arsenal in the summer of 1999 where he was reunited with his former manager Arsene Wenger.
The French tactician was keen on turning Henry into a striker from a winger given his abilities when one-to-one with the goalkeeper. The former Monaco forward was technically sound, had quick feet, agile and dribbled well with the ball at his feet. But it was his clinical and composed finishing that made him a great player in front of goal.
The 1998 FIFA World Cup winner is considered a legend at Arsenal and rightly so. During his tenure in the Premier League, Henry scored 175 goals and assisted in 74 others, contributing in a total of 249 goals.
#1 Ryan Giggs (271 goals)
The only player on the list with more assists than goals is Ryan Giggs. The Welshman is the most decorated player in the history of the Premier League.
Having come through the ranks at Manchester United, Giggs was part of the famous Class of 92 players. With his amazing pace, mind-boggling dribbling, smart passing and amazing ability to find players, the Welsh winger was a difficult player to handle, especially on the wings.
It was sheer delight to watch Ryan Giggs run down the wings, tearing away players and creating goals at will. The left-footed winger remained loyal to Manchester United throughout his career as they were the only club he ever played for.
The 13-time Premier League winner has made more than 632 Premier League appearances in his career. During that time, Giggs has scored 109 goals and assisted in 162 others, contributing a total of 271 goals. To date, he holds the record for the highest number of assists in the history of England's top division.
