The Premier League is full of surprises and this season, Brighton & Hove Albion provided some in the early stages of the league. Having stayed in the top six for a while, the Seagulls struggled with consistency as time progressed.

Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez played an important part in helping them have a good run of games in the Premier League this season. The Spaniard has made some amazing saves with his sharp reflexes and good positioning.

He has conceded only 16 times in 17 Premier League matches. With a save % of 78.1%, Robert Sanchez has saved 2.1 goals per game this season, facing 64 shots in total. He does deserve more recognition for his impressive performances.

#2 Jose Sa (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

With the departure of Rui Patricio, Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Jose Sa at the start of the 2021-22 campaign. The signing has turned out well for both the club and the player.

Wolves have conceded only 14 goals in 18 matches with Jose Sa between the sticks. The Portuguese has looked confident, commanding and very effective with his goalkeeping. His superb reflexes combined with his shot-stopping abilities have been vital for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Jose Sa has a save % of 85.1 % in the 2021-22 season, having faced 67 shots in the Premier League. His shot-stopping abilities have helped in preventing 6.7 goals so far.

#1 David De Gea (Manchester United)

Loyalty is well personified by David De Gea as he has stayed with Manchester United even in their worst of times in the Premier League. The Spanish goalkeeper is arguably one of the best goalkeepers to play for the Red Devils.

With his acrobatic saves, fabulous reading and brilliant reflexes, David De Gea has been a massive asset between the sticks. Had it not been for him, Manchester United would have conceded a lot more goals this season.

Playing in his 11th Premier League campaign for United, David De Gea only has four cleansheets to his name this season. Manchester United's defense has to take plenty of blame for that. Despite that, De Gea has saved 57 of the 81 shots he has faced. The Spaniard has prevented 7.6 goals this season, which speaks volumes of the form he is in right now.
