One of the most prolific strikers of the 1980s and 90s, Allen was the kind of player who could play at any attacking position and was considered as one of the most feared strikers of his generation.
While he is notably known for his stint with Tottenham Hotspur, with whom he was able to grab some attention, he is known to have played for seven different London-based clubs in a career that spanned for almost 16 years.
While he did score some of the most important goals for the likes of Queen's Park Rangers and was able to reach the FA Cup finals on multiple occasions, Allen, to everyone's surprise, has not won any major title with any of the big names that he has played for.
However, his skills as a goalscorer have definitely given him a name in the history books of English football.
