Before Liverpool, Salah had a stint with Chelsea which didn't go very well. Ever since his return to the Premier League with the Reds, it was always on his agenda to prove his doubters wrong.

The Egyptian struggled to find playing time under Jose Mourinho and was eventually sold to Italy, where he had stints with Fiorentina and AS Roma. The 26-year-old used his time in Italy to develop his skills and returned to England as a changed man.
In most of the interviews that the player gave after his return to the Premier League, he mentioned his intent to prove those who looked down at him wrong. And come the end of the season, he was standing there with the PFA Player of the Year award in his hands.

With 32 goals and 10 assists to his name, Salah was handed the award given to the best Premier League player of the season. There was no doubt that he had made his doubters stand up and clap for him.
