Daucik arrived with his brother-in-law Lazlo Kubala and managed the club for 4 incredibly successful years. The manager of the legendary ‘Cini Copes’ side, Daucik even won an incredible 5 trophies in a single year.
Daucik managed some amazing players like Kubala, Velasco, Ramallets and Joan Segarra and ushered in an era of dominance for the Catalan giants in the 1950s. During his time, Barcelona won two La Liga and Copa del Genaralisimo doubles back to back and were the most successful side in Spain.
The Slovakian departed Barcelona in 1954 due to some differences with the first team squad but his impact during his reign as the Catalan side’s manager is till remembered fondly by the Barcelona faithful.
