#3 Cojones!

There are plenty out there who have tried and failed in their attempts to throw Cristiano Ronaldo off his game. As followers of Spanish football will tell you, you will rarely find a figure more passionate and fiesty in Spain than Diego Simeone.

The Atletico Madrid manager has been in charge of the club for a decade now and Los Rojiblancos have achieved great heights under him. He is one of those who have crossed the Portuguese's path multiple times and tried their best to make life hell for him. But the result has often been against the Argentine.

When his team gets the better of their opposition, Simeone never backs down from celebrating wildly. In 2019, Atletico met Juventus in the 'Round of 16' phase of the Champions League and, thanks to their two late goals, won the home leg.

Ronaldo was expected to get hostile treatment from fans at Wanda Metropolitano and they did not disappoint. But an even more volatile celebration was followed by Simeone putting his hands around his balls in excitement and shouting.

But we once read in our moral ethics class, "you get what you give", maybe 'El Cholo' forgot that lesson. Juventus welcomed Atletico for the second leg at the Allianz Stadium where Ronaldo stepped out with only one thing on his mind. To make Atletico pay the price.

The star forward completed a hat-trick and sent Los Rojiblancos packing out of the tournament. When the dust settled and the final whistle blew, he performed an epic pelvic thrust, twice to be exact, with his hands pointing towards his Cojones! You better not annoy Ronaldo ever again.

#2 Shirtless revenge

There are few better sights in football for the Portuguese's fans than Cristiano Ronaldo standing shirtless flexing his phenomenal body. It is not hidden from anyone anymore than the striker works very hard and maintains great discipline to sustain that unreal physique. So when the time comes, he deserves to flaunt it.

At various points in his career the Manchester United forward has scored important and remarkable goals and has sent his shirt flying. But none of his shirtless celebrations were as amazing and purposeful as the one from 2017.

The previous season, when Barcelona visited the Santiago Bernabeu, Lionel Messi scored an injury time winner and the Catalans were victorious by 3-2. In response to his goal, Messi took off his shirt and held it in front of the stadium. But the Barcelona ace should have known that his greatest rival was not going to sit and watch.

The Portuguese forward came on from the bench in the second half of their Spanish Cup tie's 1st leg with Los Blancos leading 1-0. A few minutes later, he picked up the ball on the left flank, cutting in past his man and sending an unsavable curler into the top right corner.

In response, the striker threw his shirt on the grass and flexed his muscles with his arms on his waist. Camp Nou and Messi were successfully served their own medicine.

#1 Siiiuu

The Portuguese has come up with an array of celebrations throughout his career but none more iconic and memorable than the "Siiiiuu". It personifies Cristiano Ronaldo and will always be remembered as an emblem of his goalscoring exploits. For those who still struggle to copy this celebration while playing on Sundays in their nearest park, here is the breakdown for you.

The hallmark celebration begins with a sprint as Ronaldo then launches himself into the air, followed by a mid-air pirouette, the hands thrown down sideways with a thrust, as everyone goes "Siiiuu." There is sometimes a casual roll of finger of the right hand involved before the jump.

Now don't act like you don't know what I mean, it's probably playing in your head all this while.

The Portuguese said of the celebration that it was something he developed at Real Madrid. "Sii" is "yes" in Spanish and when the team scored, the players often reverbrated the chant together. The celebration emerged in the most natural manner and there was nothing contrived about it.

In 2013, Real Madrid were playing their friendly games on their US tour and in the match against Chelsea, Ronaldo performed his iconic "Siii" for the first time. He polished the celebration after performing it a couple of times and since then it has been his hallmark.

Wherever he goes, the spectators often join him in his glory and support his celebration by shouting with him.
