Antoine Griezmann is set to leave Atletico Madrid this summer after the player announced his decision through a video on social media. The 28-year-old was set to leave Atletico for Barcelona last summer but decided to stay in Madrid for the foreseeable future.

However, the Frenchman has now decided that he wants to leave this summer, and the Blaugrana will once again try to buy the forward this summer.

Atletico Madrid's CEO Gill Martin all but confirmed Griezmann's move to Barcelona in an interview last month. He said,

"I've been certain where Griezmann will play next season since March. He will play for Barcelona."

Recent reports claim that the Blaugrana have been waiting for Griezmann's €120 million release clause to come into force, and will make a move for the talismanic forward this month.

It seems like Barcelona will finally get their man this summer, and €120 million seems like a fair amount for a player of Griezmann's quality.
