#2 Sevilla 3-3 Liverpool
Liverpool traveled to Sevilla on match day 5 in the hopes of securing qualification to the knockout stages. Jurgen Klopp wanted to make amends for the 2015 Europa League final nightmare.
Liverpool started the game brilliantly, with the front three of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino wrecking havoc. Firmino gave Liverpool the lead in the 2nd minute and Sadio Mane doubled it half way through the first half. Firmino was at it again as he tripled Liverpool's lead at the half-hour mark. Jurgen Klopp's side produced an attacking masterpiece that left the Sevilla fans stunned.
What looked like a straightforward victory, turned out to be a calamity for Liverpool. Ben Yedder struck right after the restart and then he made it 2-3 right at the hour mark. Liverpool's defensive frailties were brutally exposed by Eduardo Berizzo's side as they pushed for the equalizer. Klopp made some defensive substitutions and Liverpool took the game to 90 minutes without further damage.
The equalizer came right at the death as Pizarro struck the hammer blow in the 93rd minute to leave Liverpool in tatters. One of the greatest comebacks in the history of Sevilla FC.
