This derby will go down in history as one of the greatest games ever played in the Bundesliga. Domenico Tedesco masterminded the greatest comeback in Bundesliga history as Schalke came back from 4-0 down to draw the game 4-4 against Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund started the game on the front foot and was four goals up after the 25 minutes through strikes from Aubameyang, Stambouli, Gotze, and Guerreiro. The game remained 4-0 at half-time.

Dortmund started cautiously in the second half and Schalke were not able to muster anything until the 60th minute. Guido Burgstaller stated the comeback with the 61st-minute strike and Amine Harit halved the deficit four minutes later.

Schalke were given a boost when Aubameyang was sent off in the 72nd minute and Daniel Caligiuri made it 3-4 in the 86th minute, leaving the Dortmund fans nervous. It went all the way down the wire and Naldo completed the dramatic comeback with a header in the added time, leaving Borussia Dortmund shell shocked.
