Injuries permitting, Kane is expected to start all of Spurs' matches in what could be an extremely testing season for the North London side. Yet to make a signing with 6 days to the close of the transfer window, Kane's importance to Mauricio Pochettino's plans cannot be overstated.

His lethal poaching, hold-up play, penalty taking and other attributes make him the best option for the hard running style Pochettino favours. Having been beaten to the award by Salah last season, the reward of personal glory should be an extra motivation for the man who scored 30 goals last season.
