5 Liverpool players who should move in the January transfer window

Tranmere Rovers v Liverpool - Pre Season Friendly
It is time Markovic found himself a new home.

#3 Danny Ings

Adelaide United v Liverpool FC
The plethora of attacking talent at Anfield is bound to keep Ings out of the side.

It was not very long ago that Liverpool were believed to be lacking the requisite depth in their attack as the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi failed to perform regularly. The arrival of Danny Ings was seen as a welcome move by the club to add to their attacking options.

After all, the Winchester born striker had scored an impressive 37 goals in 85 appearances for Burnley prior to joining the Reds and his ability in and around the box was expected to yield a better depth in the side’s attack.

However, the arrival of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah apart from the impressive form of Roberto Firmino has resulted in Liverpool having being spoilt for choice and while that has been a great thing for the club’s fans, Danny Ings has suffered, that despite being amongst the goals for the club’s reserves side.

In some ways, one could count Ings to be extremely lucky as he has spent a considerable time on the medical table, with most of it coming when Liverpool were struggling for attacking options.

However, all is not lost for the England international as clinical strikers remain in demand across Europe. Ings would be wise to accept a move, even if on loan in the upcoming transfer window in order to get some game time.

And his ability to consistently find the back of the net could do clubs like Newcastle United and West Ham United a world of good (both the clubs have been linked with the player over the recent weeks).
