# 2: Record 6th-consecutive Scudetto in 2016-17
Juventus' 5th consecutive Scudetto in 2015-16 equalled their own record (1930-31, 1931-32, 1932-33, 1933-34, 1934-35) and that of Torino's and Internazionale's by registering only the fourth instance of a team winning 5 consecutive top-flight titles in Italy.
The 2016-17 season had started with Juventus swooping up the services of Gonzalo Higuaín who registered a new record the previous season for most goals in a Serie A season. The signing of the Argentine striker from Napoli for € 90 million marked the then third-highest transfer of all-time and the highest ever paid by an Italian team. Winning their record 6th consecutive title that season, the Bianconeri broke new ground, becoming the first team to win as many consecutive titles.
# 3: Second Champions League final loss in 3 years
In the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League final in Cardiff, Juventus lost 1-3 to Barcelona, which marked the first time a team lost 4 title matches in the Champions League era. 2 years later, the Bianconeri arrived in the 2016-17 Champions League final to play another Spanish team - Real Madrid. However, their wait for a first title in the competition in over two decades spilled over to another season as Juventus lost 1-4. In the process, Juventus fell short in a second Champions League final in three years as it made the Turin team, who were chasing a treble of League, League Cup, and European Cup the first to lose 7 European Cup / Champions League finals. It is a heartbreaking moment, still worth a mention.
