#3 Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace) – 8 goals

Crystal Palace finished 14th in the Premier League last season. They lacked creativity in the final third and could only muster 44 points in 38 games. This season, they currently find themselves in 11th position and are dreaming of finishing inside the top 10 for the first time in seven years.

Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher has been at the heart of everything positive at Palace this season. His goalscoring and playmaking are making the Eagles dream of a top-half finish.

In 22 Premier League games, the Englishman has registered eight goals and three assists, meaning he’s directly contributed to 33 percent of Palace’s league goals (36).

The 22-year-old struck first for Palace on matchday three against West Ham United. His brace allowed the Eagles to salvage a 2-2 draw against the Hammers.

Gallagher’s second brace came in a 3-1 win over Everton in gameweek 16. Had it not been for Gallagher’s eight goals, Palace would have had four points fewer than they do now.

#2 Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 9 goals

Last season, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes scored a whopping 18 goals in the Premier League. He was by far the Red Devils’ most important player and popped up with decisive goals and assists more often than not.

He has not scored as many in the English top-flight this term but remains United’s joint-leading scorer in the league.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival last summer, the 37-year-old has been Manchester United’s primary penalty taker, which has taken a toll on Fernandes’ goal tally.

However, the United No.18 has still scored nine goals in 25 appearances. As if his goal tally was not impressive enough, he has also provided six assists in England’s premier footballing division this season.

#1 Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal) – 9 goals

Sitting pretty at the top of our table is Arsenal golden boy Emile Smith Rowe. From making his England debut to ruling the Gunners' midfield, the 21-year-old has effortlessly done it all this season.

He is composed on the ball, can pick out his teammates with ease, and knows just when to put his foot through.

In the 2021-22 season, Emile Smith Rowe has made 21 league appearances for the Gunners, registering nine goals and two assists. The young England international has scored against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, proving his ability to show up in big games.

The north Londoners have a potentially world-class attacking midfielder in Smith Rowe. The onus is now on Mikel Arteta to nurture his talent to the best of his abilities and give him the perfect project to thrive in.
