#3 Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the all-time top scorer in European Championships history
Coming into Euro 2020, Cristiano Ronaldo was tied with Michel Platini (9) for most goals in European Championship history.
After finding the back of the net in Portugal's first Euro 2020 game against Hungary, the 36-year-old Ronaldo became the outright all-time top scorer in the competition.
Three games into Euro 2020, Ronaldo is already five clear of the Frenchman and looking good for more as Portugal take on Belgium in the Round of 16.
Perhaps, unsurprisingly, Ronaldo is also the leading scorer in European Championship qualifiers as well.
#2 Most goals by a European player at the Euros and FIFA World Cup combined
Cristiano Ronaldo equalled Miroslav Klose's record of the most goals (19) by a European player in the European Championships and FIFA World Cup combined when he scored his first of two goals against France.
By netting his second against the reigning world champions, Ronaldo claimed the record outright.
The Portugal captain has scored 14 goals in the Euros and six goals at the World Cup. Klose scored three goals in the Euros and 16 at the World Cup.
This tally could swell further, as Ronaldo has at least one more game to play at Euro 2020 and possibly the FIFA World Cup in Qatar next year as well.
#1 Cristiano Ronaldo equals the record for most international goals
With a brace against France on matchday 3 at Euro 2020, Cristiano Ronaldo equalled Iranian legend Ali Daei's (109) record of most goals by a player in international football.
Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo is the only European player to score a century of international goals, a landmark he achieved last year.
