#4 Gary Lineker takes a dump on the pitch
Whenever I have a bad tummy, one of my biggest fears is that I might just unwantedly loosen up in front of many people. Of course, most of us know the drill. When the diarrhoea kicks in, something as little as a cough can release the foul-smelling kraken out of the back.
Gary Lineker, unfortunately, had to live this nightmare in reality — and that, too, in front of millions of viewers during a World Cup match in 1990 against the Republic of Ireland. After losing an aerial challenge against an opposition defender, the former England striker instantly went down on the ground and was seemingly dragging his behind through the grass.
Lineker, a lot of years later, went on to explain what really happened. Moral of the story: Italian food is not for everybody.
