Around a week after the Premier League ended, Riyad Mahrez handed in a transfer request at Leicester City and the rumour mills have been strife with reports linking him to a host of other clubs.
One of those clubs in Serie A giants Roma, who have failed to meet the Foxes’ valuation for the Algerian superstar. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United have previously drawn links to him, but Roma seem to be the closest to getting him. There were also reports of Roma dropping their interest, but with Mahrez still intent on moving, a move could still happen.
Despite having handed in a formal request, the Algerian is still giving his all for the club and has been open about saying that he will give his all for Leicester before he moves away.
