Much like Van Dijk, Phil Coutinho’s transfer saga has been long and well drawn out. It was all a consequence of the domino effect that Neymar’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain sparked.

Probably the only like-for-like replacement for the departed Brazilian, Coutinho is currently deemed to be injured and hasn’t featured in both of Liverpool’s Premier League games. If reports are to be believed, the Reds have already rejected three bids from the Catalans for their prized asset and Sky Sports have already told that a fourth bid will soon be on its way.

While time is obviously running out for Ernesto Valverde’s men to grab hold of a replacement, it seems like a matter of time before Phil Coutinho becomes a Barcelona player.
