#3 Mamadou Sakho
Crystal Palace centre-back and stand-in captain, Mamadou Sakho has been phenomenal for Roy Hodgson every time he has played for the club this season. An experienced and aggressive defender Sakho joined Palace in January from Liverpool after falling out with manager Jurgen Klopp.
Mamadou Sakho is a smart defender with a little bit of a crazy streak in him that has to be managed well. Hodgson seems to have got the best out of Sakho as he has developed and matured into a strong central defensive presence that guided Palace to safety.
With an outside chance of making the French squad for the World Cup due to Koscienly's injury, Sakho could pip some others like Mangala, Laporte and a few other to make Didier Deschamps' France squad.
