#2 Sadio Mane
Eyebrows were raised when Jurgen Klopp decided to splash a huge sum of £34 million to sign Sadio Mane from Southampton, but the Senegalese international is performing brilliantly since his move, and the huge fee looks like a bargain now.
The former Southampton man joined the Reds in the summer transfer window of 2016 and scored 27 goals in 60 Premier League games for the club. He won the Liverpool Player of the Season 2016-17 and was Liverpool's joint top goalscorer in the Champions League last season with 10 goals.
Sadio Mane was the runner-up to his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah for the African Player of the Year Award in 2017. He was also a part of the CAF African Team of the Season for the last two years.
The 26-year-old is currently the joint-top goalscorer (4 goals) in the Premier League this season, and his consistency will be key for the Reds if they want to seriously challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.
