#2 Hugo Sanchez - 56
Quite simply the best Mexican footballer of all time, the Real Madrid legend had a swell time tormenting opposition defences in La Liga, first at Atletico Madrid and then at city rivals Real. He spent 11 seasons in the city of Madrid with 7 of them for Los Galacticos.
Voted as the 26th best footballer of the 20th century, Sanchez won a host of titles at Real, including an astounding 5 league titles. A prolific scorer, he put the ball in the back of the net an impressive 208 times from just 283 appearances.
Sanchez is also the only player in La Liga history to win the Pichichi award four times in a row, a stat so impressive in that it still stands given that Ronaldo and Messi have been breaking records for fun in La Liga.
The Mexican scored 38 goals in the 1989/90 season and remarkably, all 38 of them were first-time finishes.
