Cristiano Ronaldo has played with some wonderful playmakers in his career and Mesut Ozil is surely one of them. The German midfielder was simply outstanding when he played for Real Madrid.

Under Jose Mourinho's regime at Real Madrid, Mesut Ozil was one of their key players up front. His silky touches, nimble footwork, superb vision and incisive passes were spectacular to watch. For three straight seasons from the 2010-11 to 2012-13 season, Ozil made the most number of assists each season for Real Madrid.

In total, the German playmaker created 69 goals for Real Madrid during these seasons. Out of those, 31 assists were for Cristiano Ronaldo. The pair linked up very well, leaving very little room for error for the opposition. Had Mesut Ozil not left for Arsenal in the summer of 2013, surely he and Cristiano Ronaldo would have dominated La Liga.

Easily, Karim Benzema has to be one of the best strikers Cristiano Ronaldo has ever played with. The Frenchman was a superstar at Lyon before Real Madrid signed him in 2009.

Ever since, Benzema has been a vital player for Los Blancos. Even this season, his superb form has been crucial to their strong position in the La Liga points table. Cristiano Ronaldo had the opportunity to play with the French striker and it is safe to say that the duo loved playing with each other.

With both players very effective and efficient in front of goal, the ball was found in the back of the net more often than not. Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo had a fine understanding on the pitch. This was pivotal to Real Madrid's success both in Spain and Europe.

By a good distance, Benzema has assisted in 47 goals for the great Portuguese and it looks like a record very difficult to break.
