One of the most under-rated players of the Premier League era and one who has helped numerous others to reach their respective peaks - Harry Kane in particular - Christian Eriksen is certainly a midfielder that Barcelona should look to target.
With Andres Iniesta's emotional farewell from his boyhood club just a matter of weeks away now, this move would make sense.
Just like Alderweireld, the Danish international is stuck in a Tottenham system where big-money contracts are not on the table and this could easily play into the hands of possible suitors across Europe monitoring their respective situations.
He would fit in well with Barca's passing football ethos perfectly, given his fantastic passing range and ability to create chances regularly too. Unlike the other players mentioned, there does not seem to be much competition for Eriksen's signature, which is surprising given another impressive campaign on a personal level.
Naturally, he will not come cheap but there's potential for his head to be turned with a bumper deal elsewhere. The devastating blow of Iniesta's departure could be easily lessened with the arrival of a player of Eriksen's ability.
