With an £89m buyout clause in his contract, Antoine Griezmann is definitely affordable for a side like Barca and would complete a deadly attacking trio alongside Suárez and Messi. He could line up on either wing or as a string alongside the Uruguayan with the pint-sized magician playing in a free-roam role behind the pair.

Many fans have said that prising the French forward away from Atletico would be the main obstacle - but talk of a move away from the Spanish capital arose a few years ago when Griezmann himself said he wouldn't rule out a big-money transfer in future.

The main competition for his signature will come from Jose Mourinho's Manchester United, but the Red Devils don't appear as desperate to sign him as they reportedly were last summer. With that in mind, this could pave the way for Bartomeu to secure a deal for one of Europe's hottest stars.
