#2 - Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale is perhaps the only unrealistic name figuring in this list. Why? Because when Real Madrid deem a player to be important in their plans, it is a rarity that he leaves, arguably the greatest club in Europe at the moment. However, Bale could well lose his starting position at Los Blancos, especially with Isco's recent form.
So an approach from Bayern Munich could have certainly made the Welshman reconsider his decision of staying. Arjen Robben is without a doubt, one of the best at his position in Europe, but he is extremely injury prone for his age and at the twilight of his career.
Bale, is not far better in terms of fitness, but having two world class wingers to rotate for the starting spot on the right-hand side, throughout the course of the season is by all means not a bad idea. Despite missing out on a large part of the previous campaign, the flying Welshman still managed to score 10 goals and provide 4 assists.
