#3. Dayot Upamecano
Bayern Munich are looking to reinforce their central defence further this summer, with Javi Martinez and Jerome Boateng believed to be leaving the club as they are entering into the twilight stage of their career. Both players have suffered fitness issues in recent seasons, which has affected their pace and overall gameplay and they have been prone to making errors in recent times.
Dayot Upamecano has been on the Bavarians' radar since his days at Valencienne and he will be entering his final year of contract with RB Leipzig this summer. There are currently no signs of him extending his stay with the Red Bulls.
The 21-year-old is tall, well-built and technically very sound, which ticks all the criteria Bayern are looking for in a defender. His stint at Leipzig has helped him develop into one of the best young defenders in the world right now and he also has suitors from abroad including the likes of Arsenal.
It is rumoured that Upamecano has a €60 million release clause in his contract which means the club he chooses to play for is entirely in his hands and Leipzig will have no say in his future.
