#4: Freddie Woodman
Unlike all the other names in this list, Freddie Woodman has never really had a run in the Newcastle United first team.
The talented shot-stopper has often been on the sidelines or loaned out. Woodman, currently on loan at Swansea, has been one of the best performers for the Swans this season. The 23-year-old's crucial saves have been one of the reasons for the Welsh team's push for the last playoff spot.
Woodman, though, is unlikely to break into the Newcastle United first-team. The current goalkeeper Martin Dubravka recently signed a new long-term contract while his backup Karl Darlow looks content with his role.
At 23, Woodman has a long career ahead of him and should not waste his time being content at being a backup option. Newcastle United, on their part, could cash in on the in-form goalkeeper to increase their transfer budget for the new season.
#5: Yoshinori Muto
Yoshinor Muto is one of the worst pieces of transfer done by the Magpies in recent times. Muto arrived at St James Park following a decent scoring record in the Bundesliga with Mainz. But so far, the striker has found it tough to adjust to life in the Premier League.
After arriving last season for a fee of around £9.5 million, Muto was supposed to make up for the misfiring Dwight Gayle. But scoring just two goals in 27 appearances for the Magpies have not helped the striker's cause.
With almost two more years left in his contract, Newcastle United should try to sell the striker during this summer and reinvest elsewhere.
