Having represented Chelsea earlier in his career before leaving for Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2014, Brazilian International, David Luiz decided to seal a return to the Stamford Bridge in 2016, joining The Blues once again in a deal worth £34 million.

However, his second stint with the London side did not go as he would have hoped for as he was forced to settle down for a role on the bench during Antonio Conte's reign in the English capital, with the Italian preferring the services of young defender Andreas Christensen instead.
With Antonio Conte now gone and Maurizio Sarri taking over, David Luiz has come to the fore once again due to his ability to perform as a ball-playing centre-back that suits the manager's tactics and he has done really well to revive his career at the Stamford Bridge, becoming the first-choice option at the heart of the defence and recording 17 appearances to his name for the Premier League giants across all competitions so far this season.
