#2 David De Gea

Manchester United v Everton - Premier League
Manchester United v Everton - Premier League

Whenever we think of the best goalkeepers in the world, David De Gea is one name that always resonates in the mind. Such is his influence that critics always attribute United's successes to him. The most recent example being the 3-1 win over rivals, Arsenal.

Brought in by Sir Alex Ferguson from Atletico Madrid as a replacement for the legendary Edwin van der Sar in 2011, De Gea has successfully filled the Dutch keeper's shoes. The Spaniard has gone on to collect the Manchester United player of the season award 3 times, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League in the process.

De Gea had almost joined Real Madrid in 2015 but a fax Machine error on deadline day caused him to stay back. The Spanish outfit is still lurking around for him and next time, a fax machine won't be there to save United's day.
