# 1. David de Gea : £200,000-a-week
We know what you are thinking. £200,000-a-week is less? Hear us out.
Gary Neville recently said that David de Gea is the only world-class player United have at the moment. At this point, there is not much to argue about that theory.
Manchester United's current season would have been far from satisfactory had it not been for de Gea. The Spanish goalkeeper is in the form of his life and appears to be unbeatable at the moment. He has 15 clean sheets in the league and leads the charts for the same.
De Gea's reaction time and reading of the game is extraordinary and so is the fact that United have managed to keep a hold of such a sensational player. The goalkeeper is the club's best player at the moment.
His current deal expires at the end of 2018/19 season. United are believed to have initiated negotiations with the player's agent over a new contract.
At his current wages, De Gea is a steal. It would be pointless if the Red Devils' best player is not their best paid player.
