The Alergian international has been out for a couple of months after suffering two consecutive knee injuries. Despite his injuries, he is one of the favourites to make a move to Old Trafford. The left-back has a contract with Napoli FC which lasts until 2022, but a low 22 million euros release clause could easily spell the end of his career at Napoli.
Manchester United are looking for reinforcements to strengthen the defence line and put up a strong challenge for next season's Premier League. The fullback has gained plenty of experience from his five years spent in Serie A and stands to be a good fit for Mourinho.
