#2 Carlos Pena
A Barcelona academy graduate, Carlos Pena has been impressive in his debut in ISL. He was not in usual form in the opening few matches, but gradually improved himself. He has played a pivotal role as a left-back.
Pena played 19 matches for his club. He made 28 tackles along with 25 interceptions and 18 blocks. His position allowed Mandar Rao Dessai to play in a more attacking role.
He is yet to get a contract from Goa and could be lured away by rivals clubs soon.
#1 Brandon Fernandes
Brandon Fernandes’ rise in recent times has been phenomenal. Playing just his second season for FC Goa, Fernandes has made him one of the important figures of the team. Even coach Sergio Lobera has praised the youngster for his impressive display.
He was deployed as an attacking midfielder and Fernandes caught the eye with his speed and skills. He also scored three goals and made four assists.
Fernandes is contracted for one more year with FC Goa but he could leave the club prematurely if given a lucrative contract by other teams.
