Giroud wants to leave Chelsea due to lack of minutes on the field.

The 33-year-old French international had made it clear that he would like to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window as he has rarely been involved on the pitch in the first half of the season. Giroud has played just 282 minutes of football this season which is just 9% of the match minutes Chelsea have had on the pitch.

Giroud is a free agent in 2020, but he does not want this situation to continue as he looks to be in shape for Euro 2020 for the French national team where the competition for the spots in the final 23 for the tournament is immense. He's had offers from England and Italy mainly.

Tottenham Hotspur is exploring him as an option to be their temporary replacement of Harry Kane who's out for the rest of the season with an injury. He's also having offers from Lazio and Inter Milan. Since deadline day is upon us, things need to happen super quick so that he moves to a new club by the time the window closes.
