5 players who deserve a transfer to a top club

In world football, some players value trophies, others value loyalty and some are influenced by the resources present at a club. The players who want to win trophies are always on the lookout for a move to a top club which enables them to achieve their objective. These are the players who set alight the football transfer market from time to time.

A club can sometimes hinder a player's career by not letting him get his dream move. In such scenarios, the club can prevent a player from achieving a much more successful legacy that a footballer with such remarkable talent deserves to have.

Here are the 5 players who deserve to be at a better club than the ones they are currently at:

#5 Nicolas Pepe (Lille OSC)

Lille forward Nicolas Pepe has broken the eternal stream of Mbappe headlines this term in Ligue 1. His imperious form of 13 goals and 7 assists in 21 league games is a brilliant output, forcing some of the bigger clubs in Europe like Arsenal and Liverpool to cast their attention to the quick winger. Versatile enough to play anywhere in the attack, the 23 year old can be a lethal option up front.

The Ivory Coast forward likes to cut inside from the right much like Mohammed Salah of Liverpool. He is quick, mobile, good on the ball and has a natural instinct of finding himself in goal scoring positions.

Pepe joined Lille only in the summer of 2017 and has seen his value rise exponentially. His estimated value is 44 million Euros according to reports and if this form continues, it is only going to rise. Lille is rumored to want a fee in excess of 50 million Euros for their uncovered diamond. But should he be able to replicate his current form for a top side, Pepe could prove to be worth it, especially at just 23 years of age.

#4 Philipp Max (FC Augsburg)

ugsburg's left back Philipp Max joined the German outfit in 2015 for just 3.6 million Euros. Despite attracting the attention of some of Europe's finest in the summer of 2017, Max extended his stay in Augsburg. The defender then grabbed headlines over the 2017/18 campaign after he finished the season with 2 goals and 12 assists, putting him behind only Thomas Muller as an effective creator in the Bundesliga.

So far this term, his attacking intent, and industry are making him one of the most attention-grabbing defenders in Germany. With 2.5 key passes a match and 2.2 tackles per 90 minutes, he is effective on both ends of the pitch. Max is reportedly on the Manchester United wish list this season.

Valued at just 6.7 million Euros (the same cost as Joshua Kimmich in 2015), we can't imagine Augsburg letting him go for that kind of cash. The Bundesliga club reportedly wants 42 million Euros for their star full back which is very much affordable for Europe's elite.

#3 Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

So far this season, Chelsea's Eden Hazard has been brilliant under Sarri. Before the summer, we didn't know so much about the footballing exploits across the Belgian's family. Eden's brother, Thorgan is emerging as Eden's biggest competition.

The 25-year-old who is currently playing for Borussia Monchengladbach has lit up the Bundesliga with a goal every 179 minutes this term. At the time of writing, Thorgan has been directly involved in 15 goals this term. The attacking midfielder or left winger has been making 3.2 dribbles per game and 2.7 key passes which is slightly under the contribution made by his brother in West London and while M'gladbach will be competing for a Champions League position this season, his exceptional form means he could be heading for a big money switch.

Liverpool is reportedly interested in bringing the Belgian back to England after he spent 4 years on the Blues's books. If Thorgan keeps his form up, any club looking to sign him would have to pay a hefty fee.

#2 Callum Wilson (AFC Bournemouth)

The list of Premier League top goalscorers this season is filled with predictable names. Liverpool's Salah and Arsenal's Aubameyang top the scorer's charts. But among those stellar names is the Less familiar one of Bournemouth's Callum Wilson who finds himself 4th on the goal-scoring charts with 10 goals this Premier League season.

The Englishman has gone past his career-highest league tally and has made his stock skyrocket. Linked with Chelsea, the Cherries would demand a hefty fee for their star striker. With the Blues looking to replace their misfiring striking duo of Morata and Giroud, Wilson could just get the big switch he deserves.

While Eddie Howe's Bournemouth is undoubtedly keen to keep hold of their top scorer, a switch to a big team would be a huge step forward for Wilson. Only time will tell if Callum is able to make that step up.

hen asked about his future away from current club Eintracht Frankfurt, Sebastian Haller said he may never move from Germany or he may move in a couple of months. The 6-foot tall striker cuts an imposing figure at the front of Frankfurt's attack and has already notched up 10 goals and 8 assists this season which is the highest number of goal contributions in the Bundesliga.

It's understood that Newcastle was eyeing a bid for the striker. However, Haller has clearly discussed the importance of European football and a move to Newcastle United wouldn't be a step up he would be looking for.

The 24-year-old Frenchman is yet to earn a cap for the French national team but his recent form suggests he could be playing for a bigger side in the next season. If Haller decides to move to a bigger club, it would be thoroughly deserved.
