#3 Tomas Kalas
Tomas Kalas is the oldest player on this list, he is a 25-year-old Czech centre-back who signed for Chelsea as a 17-year-old. He signed for the Stamford Bridge side on 7th July 2010 from his hometown club Sigma Olomouc. Despite signing for the club 7 years ago, he has only made 4 first team appearances so far with most of them being substitute appearances.
Since 2010, he has only spent one season at Stamford Bridge and has been loaned out to 4 different clubs. Like a lot of other Chelsea loanees, his first loan spell was also at SBV Vitesse. He spent 2 productive seasons there, playing a total of 76 games for them across all competitions.
Kalas then spent a season at Chelsea but after failing to impress he was sent on loan to FC Koln. After that move did not work out he was then sent on loan to Middlesborough, and then to Fulham where he successfully led them to promotion.
The number of appearances he has made for the Blues is a major indication that he has no future at the club. It is surprising that he has stayed at Stamford Bridge for so long despite getting limited chances. It is rumoured that Fulham are trying to sign him on a permanent deal after securing promotion to the Premier League. He might need to let go of his dreams and sign for Fulham because he does not have the quality to succeed at Chelsea.
