#2 Craig Short: Blackburn Rovers (01-02), 3 reds
Former English footballer, Craig Short played for numerous clubs during his 20-year career. Short made his mark during his time at Notts County between 1989-92. The Englishman signed for Derby County and then Everton.
The strong central defender left Everton in 1999 and joined Blackburn, where he would go on to make over 100 Premier League appearances for the club.
However, he became only the second player in Premier League history to get sent off thrice during the 2001-02 season. Mark Hughes replaced Souness as Blackburn manager and went on to appoint the Englishman as captain of the club.
Short joined Sheffield after six years at Blackburn and spent two seasons with the Blades. He was instrumental in their promotion bid to the Premier League but retired soon after.
