Premier League high-fliers Burnley were tipped to go down this season after losing key players such as Micheal Keane and Andre Gray before the start of the campaign. However, the Clarets under Sean Dyche have been in scintillating form and currently sit in 6th place, three points of fourth place.
Despite an early-season injury to captain and first choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton, Burnley's back line has produced some stellar performances thus far this campaign.
Cahill moving to Burnley could be a brilliant move for both parties involved as the club will gain the experience of an excellent English defender and the player will receive substantial playing time while leading the side to greater heights.
With great knowledge and game reading ability, Cahill could prove to be the perfect fit for Sean Dyche as he will have replaced the young Micheal Keane and fit right into the Burnley setup.
