Tottenham have been challenging for the Premier League for the last two season only to finish 3rd and 2nd in the end. The main reason for this is the inexperience in the squad.

Luka Modric has won the Champions League twice, on the verge of making it three and is set to win La Liga as well. He knows what it takes to handle the pressure and also how to squeeze out results from a lost game.

Mauricio Pochettino needs a player like him in the squad to win the league and also take the club to the next level. If the club can spend £30 million on a player Moussa Sissoko, spending £27 million on Modric would be nothing.

The move would be ideal for the club and the player and also get the fans happy as they respect him a lot.
