Cesare Prandelli
The Italian got off to a shaky start with a 1-0 loss to the Ivory Coast in 2010 but has since gone on to become one of the top international coaches in world football. The 56-year-old pulled off the unthinkable when he guided Italy to the Euro 2012 finals, where they we’re beaten 4-0 by Spain.
Prandelli followed up on the successful Euro campaign by guiding Italy to a third place finish in the Confederations Cup this year. The Azzurri boss has won critical acclaim for putting a large amount of faith in the youth, especially Mario Balotelli, who was the best performer for Italy in Euro 2012.
Balotelli and Prandelli have forged a great understanding which has lead to Italy becoming one of the most feared attacking teams in Europe. Italy have a great chance of playing in the World Cup finals under Prandelli’s leadership.
