#3 Mohamed Salah’s goal-scoring prowess to continue

No player has scored more goals than Mohamed Salah since the Egyptian moved to the Premier League in 2017 (95 league goals in 138 appearances).

Salah has also been the club’s top-scorer in each of the last four seasons and will look to make it a fifth year in a row. The 29-year old was the only Liverpool attacker to keep up his consistency last season and powered them into a top-three finish.

The Egyptian is showing no signs of slowing down and we expect him to challenge for the golden boot once again this season and play a key role in Liverpool’s title challenge.

#2 Defensive trio’s return to make Liverpool the meanest team at the back

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are all back and the trio’s availability will be a massive boost this season. Liverpool’s overall form and style of play was affected last season in the aforementioned trio’s absence, but their return could make the team a lot meaner at the back.

With van Dijk and Gomez at the back, Liverpool can play a higher line owing to their pace and mobility. Their distribution will also come into the picture as van Dijk’s passing range can speed up the build-up play.

It will take some time for the trio to get back to their best, but once they find their rhythm, that Liverpool defense will be hard to breach.

#1 Three-horse title race with the two Manchester clubs

After battling it out for the title last season, both Manchester City and Manchester United have strengthened their respective squads this summer.

Manchester United have added Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, while Manchester City have signed Jack Grealish and could rope in Harry Kane as well.

Despite just adding just Ibrahima Konate this summer, Liverpool are expected to challenge for the title this season. The Reds have never been the kind of team to rely heavily on just one or two players as Klopp’s side are the epitome of a team.

Considering several of last season's injured players are back, it would be a surprise if Liverpool don’t find their old form and push the two Manchester clubs.
