The erstwhile Liverpool midfield maestro and captain is often regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in his generation, scoring 120 goals in 504 appearances in the league and hitting the woodwork 26 times in his time at the EPL.
A hardworking box-to-box player, he had the ability to scored lots of goals due to his ability to strike the ball from distance with both feet. He possessed good technical and aerial ability, aswell as notable defensive attributes.
His intelligence and ability to read the game excellently allowed him to break down the opposition's attacking plays. In addition, Gerrard was highly regarded for his leadership and influence on the pitch throughout his career.
