Morata had big shoes to fill in after Diego Costa was no more a part of Antonio Conte's plan. The former Real Madrid striker started well, hattrick against Stoke, scoring on his debut and the winner against Manchester United.

All seemed to be going well and the Chelsea fans thought that had found the perfect replacement for Costa. Spoke too soon?

A couple of injuries and some bad, bad misses on the pitch saw the Spanish striker lose his confidence and his performance took a hit.

With reports now linking him to Serie A, AC Milan probably, Morata moving would mean that he has given up.
