4) Claudio Bravo (Manchester City)
Claudio Bravo showed his class against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the EFL Cup by saving two crucial penalties. Even though he had a torrid last season, he has shown time and again that he still has the temperament to play at the highest level.
He was so good against Wolves that Gundogan went on to call him the 'Penalty Killer'. The one-on-ones he saved also showed his agility and self-belief.
Ederson is not the first challenge he has faced in his goalkeeping career. Having battled Ter Stegen at Barcelona and Johnny Herrera at Chile for the number 1 spot, he has always been a tough contender. But, Pep lost his faith in Bravo after last season's miserable performances. Joe Hart is the best example of how Pep treats players he does not trust.
Last year, he had a hard time adapting to Guardiola's sweeper-keeper demands but this year, he looks sharp enough to fight for the number 1 spot.
