#3 Alvaro Odriozola
Yet another recent Real Madrid signing who showed a lot of promise but ended up delivering very little. The former Real Sociedad player was signed for a sum of €30 million + add-ons in the summer of 2018.
He has, however, struggled to make a case for himself under Zinedine Zidane and has faded in prominence over the past two seasons. After being handed just four starts in the league till winter in the 2019-20 season, Odriozola was shipped to Bayern Munich on loan in the January transfer window.
He has since returned to Real Madrid but Zinedine Zidane does not seem to rate him much. Zizou has in fact preferred Lucas Vazquez over Odriozola as a backup to Dani Carvajal. Odriozola is 24-years-old and he is a decent player.
The club and the player have reached an impasse and the best thing to do now is to go their separate ways.
#2 Marcelo
Marcelo has served hs club as well as anyone could have and has had a stellar career at Real Madrid. He has been one of the cult figures and had been at the forefront of Los Blancos' dominant run in Europe.
However, at 32-years-old, Marcelo is not getting any better and the deterioration in his standards is there for all to see. Real Madrid have only won one of the last five games that Marcelo has started. Of course, the blame is not just on Marcelo.
But it is getting clearer now that selling Sergio Reguilon might not have been the wisest thing to do during the summer. Marcelo's current contract runs out in 2022. As such, these two upcoming transfer windows are the last opportunities that Real Madrid will get to sell the Brazilian and get some money in return.
#1 Isco
By now, everyone is aware that Isco has to leave Real Madrid and he has to do that at the earliest. He is clearly not preferred by Zinedine Zidane and has only fallen down the pecking order over the last couple of years.
Most of his appearances come from the bench these days and though he has immense potential, Real Madrid do not seem to be the club that can utilize him to the fullest. The 28-year-old has no shortage of admirers around Europe and a reunion with Carlo Ancelotti is being touted.
Isco is also one of the highest-earners at the club and selling him will do Real Madrid good on a financial level.
